We were blessed to have our bees make some comb honey. This is the way honey looks when it is in the beehive. This is the purest way to enjoy honey. There is no processing of any kind. It is out of the hive and into the package.
How do I eat Comb Honey? You can eat it as is. Just scoop out a piece and enjoy. Or place on hot pancakes, toast, waffles, tea, coffee, etc.
Keep the comb tightly sealed. Honey absorbs moisture from the air which may cause it to ferment. Fermented honey is bad honey.
The honey may also crystallize over time. Crystallization is not a bad thing, but the grainy texture can be a turn off to some palates. If you are not planning to use it right away, freeze the comb so it can be used later.
